Engineering Program Manager (Finance)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or 10 years of experience in an engineering function
A minimum of five years of experience as an Engineering Program Manager in a high volume automotive manufacturer
Strong knowledge of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal, communication, customer service and collaborative skills
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and drive on-time completion of program a high degree of detail
Exceptional professional attributes, including self-motivation, dependability, and confidentiality
Ability to build effective work relationships
Demonstrated growth potential, by having achieved previously established goals, learning new skills, and proven strategic thinking

Stamping and welding experience in the automotive industry
Strong technical engineering knowledge
Experience directly leading professional teams in a high volume manufacturing environment, including involvement in the hiring, performance review, and disciplinary processes
Essential Functions:
Personnel/Workforce Management:
Manage a multi-disciplinary team consisting of one or more Project Manager/APQP Coordinator, Project/Tooling Engineer, and Launch Quality Engineer while working with Development Engineer, Account Managers, Director of Engineering and R&D, Chief Engineer, and Quality Manager.
Participate in future headcount forecasting and propose solutions for fluctuations. Create requisitions, recruit, interview, hire and on-board new team members as needed.
Lead efforts to enhance team communication, including regular team meetings and status updates.
Notify team members of technical and training opportunities to promote development.
Provide consistent feedback to employees regarding job task performance and accomplishment of goals.
Project Management/Advanced Product Quality Planning:
Coordinate and track all project equipment, poka yoke, fixture, and gages for your assigned customer(s) that is done by teams assigned to support your programs: Weld & Internal Equipment Build Group, Process Engineering within the Operations Group, Launch Quality Engineering Group, Quality Lab, and Research & Development.
Complete Monthly Metrics Presentation / Report for your responsible program and other launch related activities.
Organize and run Kick Off meetings for new wins. Issue Kick Off and Engineering Change notices for Grand Rapids, Franklin, Mexico and Hungry plants to appropriate team members.
Attend weekly Status Meetings with all production areas to ensure that timing and budget plans are being met. Create a plan and resolve any late projects. Drive project action items to closure.
Complete Cost Analysis Form for projects that have exceeded the 3-5 production runs, send to team for review before Final Sign Off meeting, and run the Final Sign Off Meeting. Send to executive team after review and approval.
Conduct review of every Customer Tooling Purchase Order. Ensure that Tooling and Gage design reviews are being adhered to.
Organize and track on-time production and shipping of early parts, dies, gauges, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages.
Write, update and improve new launch processes.
Create and manage project timelines and provide timing plan and project status updates to customers per their requests and/or requirements.
Identify and communicate risks of launch plans, and then communicate risk to management. Ensure launch due dates for critical path items are communicated to the APQP team.
Initiate and track customer billing and payment on tooling per product budget. Notify the launch team when budget is 90% of plan. Forecast monthly profit and loss on tooling projects for the company financial statements. Develop a justification summary and corrective action with input from the launch team for management review and approval if budgets are to be exceeded.
