NIS Desk Associate (Creative Design)
News and Information Desk Associates gather much-needed information from the public and prepare it for publication online and in print. This information could include, but is not limited to, sports scores, deed filings, calendar of events information, local briefs and other items of community interest.
Requirements include typing and computer operation, excellent grammar and written communication skills, ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment and deal with constant deadline pressure. A college degree is preferred. Familiarization with AP Style is a bonus.
Hours: Two to three 5-hour shifts per week, depending on workload and scheduling. Evenings and weekends are required.
Salary: $14.41 per hour to start.
