Chief Nursing Officer (Finance)
Responsible to the President/CEO
Other relationships: Works closely with the Officers of the Corporation, Board of Director, and full leadership team.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Directly supervise the Director of Clinical Services and Director of Quality Education, and other roles as may be assigned. Roles that fall underneath the two direct reports include the Clinical Nurse Manager, Medical Assistant Manager and others.
Serve as the lead for HRSA Operational Site Visits (OSV) and assist with implementing and maintaining source documentation for OSV compliance manual and protocol.
Develop, review and implement Clinical Policies and Procedures; Protocols, manuals; and workflows ensuring compliance with HRSA, CDPH, NCQA and other funding source/regulatory bodies' guidelines. Ensures the agency is in good standing with CLIA Waiver and other required clinical certifications; completes renewals as needed.
Lead or participate in clinical committees including but not limited to clinical quality improvement, PCMH, COVID Management Team, UDS, Safety, Compliance and other key internal and external committees.
Co-lead the Clinical QA process (including PDSA's, root cause analysis-RCA, etc), record reviews, data tracking/reporting, Datix occurrence report oversight, and utilization review (UR) analysis and management. Address clinical risk management matters/issues in collaboration with the CMO. Be a champion for quality improvement and innovation, encourage and lead QI projects, evaluate workflows, develop innovations and participate in data reviews and learning collaboratives
Monitor risk management via satisfaction surveys (with assistance from the Business Office Manager and others), monitoring occurrence reports, and follow through on patient comments/ complaints/ suggestions.
Review the implementation of no-show, late, walk-in, and cancellation policies. Monitor schedules for no-shows and cancellations, and implement procedures to reduce and to fill such slots as soon as possible with support from the CMO.
Play a leading role in the recruitment, development and support of a dynamic and multi-level clinical nursing staff, Medical Assistants and other Unit Secretaries; support the efficient deployment of clinical support staff, ensuring the right skill mix to promote the highest level of care.
Develop a positive culture to promote continuous growth and staff development, establish best practices and the education and support systems to sustain them.
As a member of executive leadership, engage regularly with the Board of Directors, participate in executive level decision-making, strategic planning, the development of business initiatives, and advance of the overall mission and goals of our organization.
Develop and promote partnerships with providers, payers, community organizations, NH DHHS, employers and other stakeholders to achieve quality and population health strategic goals and programs.
Responsible for daily operations of Amoskeag Health in collaboration with other Senior Management staff, including permanent appointment schedule, patient flow, clinical policies and procedures, and communications. Works in collaboration with CMO to enhance and manage patient productivity standards.
Works closely with the Supply Coordinator (who reports to CFO) in the ordering of medical supplies/equipment/medications/ with assistance from other personnel as needed.
Responsible for development of policies and workflows that continually improve ongoing follow-up systems regarding patient care, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and employee satisfaction and safety.
Attends seminars and educational programs necessary to gain knowledge and training in selected areas.
