Business Analyst (Finance)
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Analyst is to perform analytical projects, interpret findings, and report results to leadership, sales, administrative, and production teams. Specific responsibilities include:
• Establish and perform standard review processes and reports to monitor critical business activities and reveal, in the early stages, any deviations from goals and trends.
• Balance workload between standard review processes and special projects, to analyze opportunities or events that emerge in the course of conducting business.
• Review and approve customer quotes, for given levels of materiality, to assure all costs have been adequately considered, resources allocated, and pricing models properly applied.
• Refine, evolve, and maintain the manufacturing overhead burden rate model to assure the company's manufacturing services are properly costed and priced.
• Execute periodic customer-specific pricing updates, as required, as well as general price updates, as required. Coordinate with team members in Sales department.
• Communicate findings and offer insights and recommendations, based on analysis performed, to stakeholders. Support team members in identifying and implementing improvements.
Organizational Relationships and Authority
The Business Analyst reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. There are currently no direct reports to this position.
The Analyst may also collaborate with software and hardware suppliers and other external service providers to deliver business technology solutions.
Qualifications and Competencies
• The Analyst must have the skills and experience necessary to extract data from tables residing in ERP systems and other business applications. The Analyst must be skilled at identifying source tables, joining multiple tables as necessary, and filtering to select required subsets.
• The Analyst must have the ability to maintain a broad view of the business, coupled with the ability to go deeply into granular transactional data generated at the points of operational activity, as required by the analytical task at hand.
• The Analyst must have strong communication skills, including the abilities to:
o Speak and write clearly and persuasively in styles appropriate for intended listeners and/or readers.
o Listen carefully, ask clarifying questions, and respond effectively to questions received.
o Present quantitative information effectively.
• The position requires a bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, mathematics, or other relevant field to enable successful performance of job requirements. Master's degree a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity is preferred.

• Ability to ambulate around the office environment and manufacturing floor comfortably in order to fulfill tasks required in various offices and departments
• Ability to handle interruptions while working with multiple projects simultaneously. Position may require work in noisy or busy environments. Position requires organizational and stress management skills.
