Marine Talent Acquisition Manager - Remote (Human Resources)



City Experiences is seeking a Marine Talent Acquisition Manager for our Talent Acquisition team.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition the Marine Talent Acquisition Manager will collaborate with the Director of Talent Acquisition to source, interview, and hire top marine talent. This person will take ownership and develop a strong report with local leadership to determine, support, and execute business staffing needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee recruitment cycle and goals, determining effective strategies for promoting recruiting
  • Lead a team of recruiting professionals to execute the global recruitment strategy
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand team needs, source and build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates in a timely manner using a variety of search methods, role specific job boards, and diverse job boards.
  • Recruit with a constant lens on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Maintain up to date job descriptions, ensuring brand consistency throughout each post.
  • Work in partnership with Director, Talent Acquisition to build creative strategies around sourcing and attracting the best talent in a competitive market.
  • Establish recruiting requirements through the following:
    • Studying organization plans and objectives
    • Meeting with key business leaders to discuss strategy and staffing needs
    • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition team members to evaluate where support is needed
  • Achieve staffing objectives by:
    • Sourcing, recruiting, and evaluating candidates
    • Advising managers as the subject matter expert in recruiting
    • Managing relocation and promotions
    • Manage referral and intern programs in conjunction with HR leaders
  • Build applicant sources by:
    • Researching and contacting community services
    • Cultivating relationships with universities, colleges, and local training programs
    • Managing employment agencies and external recruiters
    • Working with media and internet sites
    • Providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits as well as making presentations; and maintaining rapport with all external partners
    • Determine top candidates by: o Comparing qualifications to job requirements
    • Reviewing application questions
    • Interviewing and analyzing responses
    • Evaluating their understanding and application of the RESPECT Service System through their experience and interview
  • Improve organization attractiveness by:
    • Recommending new policies, practices, and tools
    • Monitoring job offers and compensation practices
    • Emphasizing benefits and perks o Collaborating with leadership to implement process changes
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation and enforcing regulations with leadership and hiring managers.
  • Coordinate with leadership and team members to schedule interview sessions
  • Research and understand recruitment market trends and participate in continuing educational opportunities.
  • Partner with Human Resources teams to seamlessly transition candidates into the onboarding process.
  • Additional job duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment
  • Experience managing multiple high-volume roles simultaneously
  • Experience managing a remote team
  • Ability to embody the RESPECT Service System
  • Ability to listen, collaborate, and problem solve effectively and in a timely manner
  • Ability to influence leadership and hiring managers in a professional manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of relevant laws and compliance standards
  • Familiar with Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred
  • Familiar with personal and organizational KPI systems and measurements preferred
  • Computer skills and a base knowledge of: Microsoft office products and web-based applications - Skype, Zoom and other online meeting platforms
  • Applicant tracking systems and external job boards
